Dr. Mark Hatesohl

Hi, I am Dr. Mark Hatesohl. I started the Chiropractic Family Health Center in April, 1984. I graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in September 1983, worked for another doctor in Topeka for a few months, and then had the opportunity to take over an office for a retired doctor in Manhattan. I grew up in a small town 60 miles northwest of Manhattan and always thought it would be a great place to live, and I was right!

I decided to go to Chiropractic College after talking with an older doctor who told me of several towns that he knew of that needed Doctors of Chiropractic. I switched from engineering classes to chemistry, biology, and anatomy classes, and made the decision to pursue Chiropractic as a career. When I first sat down in freshman orientation at Cleveland College, I had no idea how far-reaching Chiropractic care was. My experience had been for neck or back pain, but now they were talking about Chiropractic care for asthma, colicky babies, and other internal problems. Since your nervous system controls your whole body, removing the interference in the nervous system could help everyone to feel better and be healthier. I was very excited to learn that Chiropractic was so much more than I knew. With a revived nervous system anything is possible!

The driving force in my adult life has been to help people. Whether helping patients as a chiropractor, serving as an elder and president at my church, or serving my community as Mayor of Manhattan, I understand the importance of, and the joy that comes from service to others. I have a wonderful wife and two healthy daughters who all receive regular chiropractic care. They all enjoy helping at the office and keeping things running smoothly.

Besides having 25 years of experience as a Chiropractor, I have 26 years of experience as an acupuncturist. I first learned of acupuncture in chiropractic school from experiences my classmates shared and I became fascinated by the opportunity to provide another form of drug-free health care to my patients. Acupuncture has been proven to be an effective treatment for headaches, including migraines, stiffness from arthritis, infertility in women, along with great results in treating back and neck pain. I end up being the place of last resort for many patients and I am thrilled when those patients gain relief.

Dr. Thad Schneider

Hi, I am Dr. Thad Schneider. Just a little about me so you will feel more comfortable with your chiropractic experience here at the Chiropractic Family Health Center. I graduated from Kansas State University in 1993 and then worked for a major company as a sales rep for a few years. I had two major back surgeries when I was in college, so I know the pain you are feeling when seeking a great chiropractor. I felt I had tried everything under the sun to help with my pain, and medications where the only answer that I was given. I searched for years until someone introduced me to the chiropractic way of life. At first I was a skeptic, all my doctors told me that chiropractic did not work, well neither did the drugs. As a last resort I went to see a chiropractor in the town near me, I figured I had nothing to lose. He worked miracles on me and for the first time in years my pain was decreased, my life was so much more tolerable. I was so impressed with what my doctor did for me that I went back to school for 4 years and earned my chiropractic degree. Chiropractic care has changed my life and the lives of many people that I get the privilege of treating.

I have a beautiful wife of 15 years and two great children, who all get adjusted on a regular basis. I have treated babies as young as 1 month, to grandparents as old as 90. Chiropractic is for everyone, not just those in pain. I graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College receiving the intern of the year award, student of the year and leader of the year awards. In addition to adjusting the spine I have a passion for working with feet, shoulder and hands, working toward total body wellness. I utilize Diversified, Thompson and Gonsted manual techniques as well as Arthrostim instrument adjusting.
